Introduction

Dear Distinguished Researchers, Engineers, Innovators, and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are thrilled to welcome you to the Asia Conference on Unmanned Systems and Intelligent Control (USIC 2025), hosted in the vibrant innovation hub of Hong Kong, China, from 7 November to 9 November 2025.

This year’s conference is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of autonomy, intelligence, and engineering in unmanned systems. As the rapid evolution of AI, robotics, and intelligent control reshapes industries from transportation to environmental monitoring, USIC 2025 serves as a global platform to showcase pioneering research, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and address the technical challenges driving tomorrow’s autonomous ecosystems.

Conference Focus Areas

Aligned with our six core technical tracks, the conference will delve into critical topics such as:

  • Autonomous Vehicles: AI-driven decision-making in unstructured terrains, swarm coordination for UAVs/USVs, and energy-efficient propulsion systems.
  • Intelligent Control: Reinforcement learning for adaptive policies, edge computing for distributed control, and robust frameworks under sensor uncertainties.
  • Robotics & AI: Human-robot collaborative task planning, explainable AI (XAI) in safety-critical systems, and neuromorphic computing for real-time inference.
  • Sensing & Communication: LiDAR-radar fusion, secure quantum communication for autonomous fleets, and bio-inspired sensing mechanisms.
  • AI/ML Innovations: Adversarial robustness in autonomous systems, federated learning for privacy-preserving collaboration, and generative models for synthetic training.

Hong Kong—a city where cutting-edge technology converges with global connectivity—provides the ideal setting to explore these themes. The program will feature keynote speeches by luminaries in autonomous systems, interactive workshops on emerging tools (e.g., edge-AI for onboard processing), and technical sessions highlighting breakthroughs in robotic manipulation, swarm intelligence, and satellite-UAV networking.

Why Participate?

  • Present your work on groundbreaking topics such as fault-tolerant control in dynamic environments, miniaturized MEMS sensors for micro-drones, or V2X communication architectures.
  • Engage with peers on challenges like adversarial robustness in AI-driven systems, thermal/hyperspectral imaging advancements, or multi-agent robotic manufacturing.
  • Network with global experts and industry leaders shaping the future of unmanned systems across academia, defense, agriculture, and smart cities.

We extend our gratitude to our sponsors, technical partners, and the Program Committee for their rigorous review process and visionary agenda curation. To all participants: Your innovative contributions will propel this field forward, and we eagerly anticipate the collaborations and insights that will emerge from this gathering.

Join us in Hong Kong to push the boundaries of autonomy, where intelligent systems meet real-world impact. Together, let’s engineer the future.

Warm regards,

The Organizing Committee
